When did TY start making Beanie Babies?

The first Beanie Babies were "born" in 1993. The man who created the company, Ty, Inc., Ty Warner, previously worked for Dakin selling toys, and learned a lot about the business. Ty, Inc. began selling stuffed cats with cute names in 1983,and eventually the rest became history! Ty, Inc., has been the only company to sell Beanie Babies.

TY has always been the company that makes Beanie Babies, every since they first came out. They did not take over for anyone.
