Kittens generally open their eyes in 4-10 days. Make sure their eyes do not have a discharge or get infected. If they get matted you may need to wipe gently with a warm, wet washcloth. Their eyes will be blue when they first open and later will turn green.

Generally, they start to open their eyes within a week. Some may only take a couple days, while others a couple weeks. When they start to open, extremely gently dab a warm, damp cloth on their eyes to help facilitate faster opening.

New born kittens are born with their eyes closed, and they will begin to open at about 10 days. It will vary with some kittens, some will take longer to open.

Kittens open their eyes between 10 and 20 days after birth. At three weeks they start to stand up and walk. At 5 weeks they can begin to eat on their own. And at 7 weeks-little needle teeth! Enjoy.
