The Ford 5.4L was first introduced in the 1997 Ford F-150 as a Triton V8. The name comes from the engine cylinder displacement volume of about 5.4 liter(5408 cc or 330ci). It's found in F series trucks, E series vans, Expeditions, SVT Lightnings, Fairlanes/Faimonts(European), and Lincoln Navigators.

Thats the amount of gas the engine burns to generate the power to the vehicle. The larger the liter the more gas you burn.

There could be a lot of different vehicles with a 5.4 liter engine. It would also be impossible to list every single one. The 5.4 liters refers to the volumetric displacement of the engine. It's the sum of all the cylinders volume.
