Examine your puppies stool for worms - Pups are known to carry worms in their poop. That looks like white strings. If you notice those, take dog to the vet for a dewormer. Puppies poop is according to what you feed them. High quality food yields firm stool.

Depending on what age your puppy is will determine the consistency. Puppy's will have the "soft serve" look while still nursing from mom. Then when they stop nursing and it kibble the poop will be more solid. Also, when transitioning from milk to kibble you may also see possible diarrhea.

It should be solid and in big chunks. The color of it should be a brown color, the darker the color is usually better but sometimes it can vary in shades.
