Grow best in moist well-drained fertile soils with lots of sun. Most soils will work, but added water and fertilizer will do the trick. If your soil is rocky with lots of clay or sand, add compost or other planting materials. These trees can grow up to 60 feet tall.

This tree is considered to be quite beautiful and easy to care for, however some say that the smell is extremely overpowering and some say 'nauseating'. Another tree to consider is called the Cleveland Select, as it has many of the same characteristics of the Bradford Pear, but smells much nicer.

Bradford pear trees are fast growing trees that have beautiful flowers and are great for shade, that is on the positive side, however, they have too many negatives, they tend to be brittle, and very difficult to get rid of among other negative characteristics.
