It is recommended that you wait at least 6 weeks before having intercourse again, and a full year before getting pregnant to allow your body to recover.

You should know that it is possible to get pregnant fairly soon after childbirth, even while you are still nursing. Don't get caught off guard!

Be sure you wait long enough for your body to heal and return to its regular cycle; then, it's good to go.

Don't be in a hurry to get pregnant again. It is very hard on your body. You also have the first child walking and the next as a newborn. A person just doesn't have enough quality time to give to both. Take your time and enjoy each experience separately.
