The Pouch of Douglas between the uterus and rectum. It is the lowest point in the peritoneum (inside of your body) that is hollow. It is a favorite spot for conditions like endometriosis to spread. Symptoms may include pain on defecation and pain during sex.

It's very difficult to remove endo from your bowels so most docs will just leave it there. It's better than damaging your bowels. It can cause bathroom problems.
