There are three key things to remember when it comes to charging of any mp3 player. First, leaving the device plugged in for prolonged periods of time will deplete the battery. Second, charge for the recommended time period listed in the manual. Last, never force the charger into the device.

Before you use it for the first time, charge the battery fully and let it drain fully, then charge again and use normally. It's best to not use the GPX in the bathtub or near water.
