Water is a "Polar-protic" inorganic-solvent with a high-dielectric-constant;
Due to hydrogen-bonding, many substances' anions dissolve in it,
so it is known as the "Universal-solvent".
Solvents are liquids, solids, or gasses which dissolve/miscible-with other liquid, solid, or gas solutes creating a solution.
Solvents are classified as either:
"non-polar", "Polar-aprotic", or "Polar-protic".
Usually, Water is NOT miscible with non-polar solutes/solvents.
