Tim Lahaye (April 27, 1926) was born in Detroit and is an evangelical minister. Author of more than 50 books, Lahaye is best known for the Left Behind series, co-written with Jerry B. Jenkins. Besides this apocalyptic literature, Lahaye along with his wife, Beverly, are also known for their stand against homosexuality and their belief that it can be cured.
