Apply petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to the fingers and cuticles. Place a bowl of acetone in in a bigger bowl filled with hot water. Soak your fingers in the acetone for at least 15 minutes. Once the acrylic has melted off, you can remove your fingers from the acetone and wipe off any residue acrylic with cotton wool dipped in acetone.

To remove acrylic nails is soak them in some acetone until they soften. Then the can be scraped off. Doing that will result in little to no damage to you nails. It is a good idea to lotion your finger before doing this to keep them from being dried out.
