Of course you should change your oil every 3000 miles, change your spark plugs and wires, and also change your air filter. And most times its a good idea to rotate your tires.

Take your car for service and check the oil of the engine etc. Check the engine thoroughly for any problems in it.

I would check the following items. Check the brakes for wear, specifically the rotors and brake shoes. I would check the transmission fluid. I would also check the belts and hoses. I would check the suspension as well. This would iclude tie rod ends and idler arms. Also check the tires for wear.

Change the timing belt. Change the fan belt. Change the spark plugs. Change the coolant. Change the fluids. Change the oil in the engine, transmission and differentials. Repack the wheel bearings. Best of all sell it if it doesn't matter to you.

As long as there is nothing wrong with the vehicle the list will be the same as if it were a new one.
