It is all about the Demon King of Lanka, Ravana meditated upon Lord Shiva and requested to Lord Shiva to make his capital invincible. Ravana try to lift Mount Kailash and take to his capital but Lord Shiva crushed it using his finger.
Ravana was praying to Shiva. After no response, he tried lifting Kailash. Shiva crushed Ravana's kingdom, Lanka, but Ravana was forgiven. He was gifted a temple, but lost it foolishly.
