Waiting For God never failed to entertain. It was consistently well-acted, with marvelous characters that changed and developed over the course of the series. Although there were two "main" personalities it presented the viewer with multiple other equally intriguing, laughable and lovable characters. I miss it.
"Best" is, of course, subjective. Shows besides Fawlty Towers that often top "best of British" lists include Peep Show, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Mr. Bean, The Inbetweeners, and The Office.
Fawlty towers was definately a very good British comedy series. However, the best British comedy series of all time is, without question, Monty Python. Monty Python is better than Fawlty Towers and is also better than Black Adder although Rowan Atkinson in Mr Bean comes in a very close second
