The Hickory Horned Devil is actually a caterpillar, not a worm. It is the larval stage of the Royal Walnut Moth or Regal Moth. The Hickory Horned Devil caterpillar is fairly large and fascinating looking. There are clips on youtube and a number of sites that include awesome photos.
