Both are good writing styles. APA is typically used for social science papers and MLA is used for other types of writing. You can search online to to see what the differences are between the two styles of writing. I personally enjoy APA style better because the citing is a lot easier to deal with.

Either. Both have certain formatting and referencing rules peculiar to each, which must be followed. The choice depends on the writer as to whichever style he is more comfortable with.
