What is a good accent wall color to go with maple hardwood flooring?

In my opinion, maple flooring is pretty much a neutral color that goes well with anything. I could see it with terra cotta type colors or navy or teal. I have used pink and a pretty deep lavender with mine. Try a test patch on posterboard, see what you think.

A wall color of rose or mauve would accent your maple hardwood flooring. You want the floor to pop when you walk in. Choosing a light color will make the floor blend with the wall. If a dark color is used such as navy then your eyes would totally be drawn away from the floor and onto the walls.

Maple is a wonderful wood for flooring, but it is a light wood. Your wall color will depend on the look you want - light and airy - choose a pastel; formal - choose a deep rich color. Any color will look good, but get a darker, contrasting wood for the furniture.
