Triglyceride counts are measurements of the amounts of fats in the blood. These measurements range from 0 to 150 as an acceptable count, to 150 to 200 as borderline acceptable. Anything over 200 is bad and leads to heart disease. If you have a reading of 200 or above, you need to reduce the amount of fat in your diet.

Fats in the bloodstream. This is something doctors check for because high levels mean you're at risk for hardening of the arteries, stroke, and heart attack. A less common result in America would be a low triglyceride level, which may indicate malnutrition or hyperthyroidism.

Its one way of measuring your plasma lipid levels. Too high levels are associated with heart disease, strokes, and hypertension. Its pretty much impossible to get too low.

The triglyceride count is an estimate of the amount of fat molecules in your blood. If your triglyceride count is too high it indicates that you are at increased risk of developing a stroke or heart disease. Excessively low triglyceride counts may indicate that you are suffering from malnutrition.
