Any kind of medication overdose can be very dangerous. Lortab is a type of pain medication and all of them are classified as a nervous system depressant. This can be dangerous for several reasons including difficulty breathing and loss of consciousness. You would need to seek emergency care immediately or call 911.

A Lortab overdose is very serious and can be fatal. Lortab is a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Both components have serious consequences in overdoses if not treated in a timely manner. Hospitalization is needed. The Emergency Department may pump the stomach or give an activated charcoal solution.

Having ones stomach pumped out, or inducing vomiting, or administering activated charcoal (by a doctor) are all options to counteract Lortab overdose. Keep in mind the acetaminophen ingredient can reek havoc on your liver, cause excessive bleeding or even diarrhea. Seek medical help if Lortab overdose is suspected as soon as possible.
