It really depends on where you live. Generally (if you are in the United States) the dish will be pointed East or NorthEast. For example, if you are in Arizona, your dish would be pointed North-NorthEast. If you were in Washington DC, it would be pointed almost due East. In Washington State, it would be pointed NorthEast.

You need to point them North, because satellites are near the moon, and the moon rises in the North. Point it North, and watch tv all day

It depends on where you live, as well as what satellite tv service you are ordering your television from at the time.

That all depends on where you live. That is why satellite is such a pain in the neck. You should have someone from your satellite company come out to help you with this. Otherwise you need to look up this info based on your company online and then it is very hard to do anyways.

You need to point it anywhere towards the sky where there are no obstructions in its line of sight like trees, skyscrapers, cell towers, or commercial airlines passing by.
