What could be the cause if my crepe myrtle tree leaves are turning yellow and falling off?

There are three possible reasons for your crepe myrtle tree leaves to turn yellow and fall off. One possibility is that it is not getting enough water, another is that it is dying and a third possibility is that it is fall, aka autumn.

I think your Crepe Myrtle is not planted in well drained, fertile soil.or you may not using a good quality fertilizer designed for flowering plants and shrubs. Or it may be Summer turns to Fall, leaves change colors and fall from their branches.

Maybe it's the time of the year. The season is reacting to the leaves and that is what is happening. Have you seen this happen before in the winter. Just pay close attention.

Summer has turned to Autumn and your plant is dying for the Fall and Winter season. When Summer turns to Fall, leaves change colors and fall from their branches.

Consider the weather. As with most trees crepe myrtles loose their leaves in the fall. Trim off the dread branches and leaves to insure healthier longer growth.

there may be three possible reason of falling down of leaf, frist reason may be the tree does not get enough water and fertilizer, another the tree is drying and the last one is the season is changing.due to change in season there is change in moisture,hence the leaves turn yellow and fall off.

Plant's leaves turning yellow, the whole plant turned yellow. I chopped it. This happens because of change of season and the soil for moisture. It simply need water and fertilizer.
