If your dog's weakness is severe to the point he can't walk much on his own, you may consider a dog cart or wheelchair. You can wrap a towel around the chest or belly and use it as a sling to help your dog walk or get up. Provide a good footing, such as carpet, and avoid tile or linoleum.

I suggest a trip to your veterinarian to make sure your Rottweiler hasn't torn an ACL. Ruling that out, hind legs are a common trouble spot for larger breeds of dogs. Try a supplement with about 500mgs of glucosamine and 400mgs of chondroitin.

If you haven't had your vet exam him yet to determine the cause of the weakness, that's the first thing I'd recommend. If it's muscle, nerve or spinal problems you might be able to do passive, physical therapy on his legs, if the vet says it's okay to do.

First, I would get him looked at by your vet just to make sure their is not more important issues going on. Make sure you have good footing in your house such as carpet. If he continues to get worse you may want to look into a dog cart for him.

Take your dog to a vet. This is important in case there are underlying symptoms. You wouldn't want it to get any worse or miss something important.

Weak legs can be a symptom for other problems, you should take him to the vet to be examined. If reccomended there is physiotherapy for dogs.

You can try rubbing linament on them if that doesn't work take the dog to the vet it could be a bigger problem and the weakness is just a symptom.

Unfortunatly, it may be hip dysplasia which is common in rotties. Larger dog should sleep on temperpedic pet beds and be kept warm at night and not sleep outside look into a glucosumine or msm combination for them. Also i hear swimming can help that. Talk to your vet about changing diet and exersise.
