The 240 Weatherby resembles a necked-down 30-06 with a. 243" diameter bullet. It is a very flat shooting round, and popular among varmint, coyote, and deer hunters. The round is fairly expensive, and will be too destructive for small game like squirrel and rabbit, and generally too light for larger elk and moose sized game. Perfect deer cartridge.
