What are the laws regarding sick leave from a job?

While taking a sick leave one must inform the company regarding the sickness through a phone and while returning from the leave one must have doctor's certificate as a proof.

Sick leave is a perk , and there are no laws to my knowledge governing the subject. Better to read the employee handbook for your paticular workplace to see what you may be eligible for. You can always contact human resources to get additional information as well. Read the fimne print.
