Plastic palm trees and colorful sand with sea shells you can pick up at any crafts store or deparmtnet store. You can also buy plastic pink flamingos,caribbean music or beach music that fits the Belize spirit. Scent the apartment with island aromas like potpourri with tropical fruit or island scents.

Palm trees, sandy beaches, and blue water are all tropical. Don't forget about the animals - there are many interesting frogs, birds, fish and more that are "tropical" and would go with that theme. And there are also many tropical foods - papaya, guava, etc. that will really make your theme.

Definitely start with a tropical plant, preferably fake, as they are hard to care for. Use colors such as teal, green, pinks, and yellows.
