Lip gloss is made of beeswax, petroleum jelly, carnuba wax, carmine, oil, flavor and synthetic preservatives. You can make your own if you want using petroleum jelly but you'll also need some kind of colored oil that is safe for your lips so that the lip gloss has color. If you just want clear gloss, petroleum jelly works.

An easy way to make lip gloss is to add pigment to petroleum jelly (vaseline). You can buy pigments at online shops. Just make sure they are safe for lips.
