Luau's include a wide variety of foods, beginning with tropical drinks, breads and cakes flavored with banana and coconut. There is the standard pig roasting in a pit in the ground, along with spicy chicken dishes. Pineapple is also frequently served in various ways, as is poi and macadamia nuts.

A lot of food at luaus is meat related, including pork, chicken and beef. Serve these with banana, coconut or mango bread along with fried rice and you'll be set!
