It might be the evergreen bagworm moth. They build their cocoons using bits of the tree. They can be very damaging. You need to call a pest control company because these moths will definitely kill your trees if left unchecked.

Bagworms can be a devastating pest.Minor infestations can be controlled by picking the bags off of the tree. Major infestations will need treatment.Several insecticides are labeled for Bagworm control. Two applications should be made, one in early to mid June and the other around July 4th.

These are probably bagworms, which are in a brown hanging cocoon like structure. To kill them you have to remove them by pulling each one from the tree and bagging them and throwing them away.

Most likely they are bagworms. They build there cocoons out of the needles and then eat as they grow. I have also noticed a type of beetle that is in pupa stage and when they come out they will burrow into the tree.

It is likely that the cocoons that are killing your evergreen are not actually cocoons but pupa, a stage that larvae take before becoming beetles which then burrow into your evergreen and cause the tree to die.

It is most likely the cocoons of bagworms. They often feed on trees leaving them dead. It is difficult for trees to recover from this.

I know them as bag worms. They build their cocoons from the evergreen needles and seem to multiply quickly defoliating the tree. It is challenging to keep them controlled. Here in Missouri they infest cedars and pines alike.
