The Snake Eagle is quite big, but not as large as bald eagle for example. Its head, back and tail are of dark chocolate color, the eye is amber-yellow.
The bateleur is the most flamboyantly marked snake eagle. It has scarlet face and legs. It plumage is black, white and chestnut and it has a short tail.
