I have had toe nail fungus for years and have talked to several different doctors about it. The medication that your doctor can give you has very serious side effects that can cause liver damage. I have use vapor rub every day. You have to use it every day and you will see results over time.

Fungal infections of any type are best treated with prescription-strength medication available from your physican, as many over-the-counter remedies simply don't work at all or else take a VERY long time to have any affect. Lamisil is a good choice though if you want to buy OTC.

Actually to get rid of toenail fungus the best way is not a medication. If you put hydrogen peroxide on the toenail then a few days later the fungus will be gone. This does work. You should save your money and use this. I hope you take this into consideration.

Manuka Oil I believe is the best remedy for Fungus, due to its many different applications and wide variety of Fungus it cures. This product can also be used on joint pains and used as an aromatherapy for colds and sinus infections. Overall this product has many other side benefits beside curing fungus and is well worth it.

There are many over the counter medications for toe fungus, but you should contact a foot doctor for proper treatment. I can be something that will spread and you want to be that this is not a fungus that does spread. Only a foot doctor can prescribe the correct medication.

Tea tree oil is a good treatment. It will cause your nail to come off and when it grows back, it usually looks much better. Lamasil is a popular treatment. Doctors recommend Funginail as an over the counter treatment. Remember, with any of these treatments, it takes months and sometimes up to a year to treat fungus.

A good mud, or dirt bath is good for wet sterile fungus infested feet. Use with causion, because the organic bacteria needs to be re introduced into the body if you've had a sterile lifestyle.

Actually, this is gross, but you can use your own urine to kill the bacteria in foot fungus, the urea is a natural fungus repellant, but smells horrible, keep them dry with an extra deodrant stick powder, or talcom powder. You could also reduce eating leeks from your diet.
