The most essential items are paper, adhesive to attach items to the paper, scissors, and a book to put items in. Optional items are buttons, ribbon and other embellishments, paper punches, rubber stamps, and ink. Printing out family photos for your daughter would be a nice touch.

Provide at least two books(themed beginner and nicer plain one), set of scissors/stamps/cut-outs, colored paper, 'stationery' paper, stickers, glue (sticks and liquid), paper frames, wood cut-outs, page borders, pop-outs, both themed and general decorations that apply to her life (school, friends, family), and a case to store everything. If you can, provide photos for her to fill it with.

Stock up on: 1 blank scrapbook, scrapbooking paper designs that your daughter can use for backgrounds, double sided tape for back of photos, stickers, coloured pens, word bubbles for photos.

Must haves include: paper cutter (12 inch), good liquid and adhesives, album, cardstock, scissors, black journaling pen and corner rounder. I also suggest a ruler, and idea book or magazine subscription, stapler and whole punch. A tote of some sort is also a great idea.
