How about Hammie, Beastie, Bear, Cheeks, Fuzzy, Chester, Fuzzy, Furry, Sweetie, Cuddles, Old Softie, Cutie. Be creative, look at your hamster and name him according to his or her personality.
Hamsters can have all sorts of names, you have to decide if you want a pet type name or if you want a human type name for a pet. Sometimes fur color can be a good indicator. Butterscotch can be used for a hamster with tan fur. Oreo can be used for a black and white hamster and so on.
If you're getting two hamsters, it would be cute to name them after famous duos, like Laurel and Hardy, Laverne and Shirley. If you're getting one boy hamster and one girl hamster, you could go with Sonny and Cher or Edward and Bella.
