It depends upon your tastes; for great Mexican food, there is La Tapitia. If great home cooking is more your style, you will love Lilly's! There is also world cuisine available, including delicious and unique treats such as Funmi's, which features Nigerian food at an amazingly low cost, or the Vietnam Kitchen, always great value for money.

Check out Queen of Sheba at 2804 Taylorsville Rd. across from Bowman Field for made-to-order Ethiopian food at great prices. Lynn's Paradise Cafe, packed with 1950s kitsch and a laid-back attitude, is a regular tourist stop. It's at 984 Barrett Avenue. Both places are unique and fun, and independently and locally owned.

It depends on what kind of food you like, but there are dozens of great restaurant options in Louisville. If you like Japanese food, there's the Shogun Japanese Steakhouse, and for Chinese the China Palace and Chun King Palace are highly recommended. Buck's is a great seafood joint, and Bearnos Little Sicily is awesome if you like Italian food.

Check out Lynn's Paradise Cafe (breakfast), the Bristol Bar and Grille (lunch/dinner), Queen of Sheba (African), the Irish Rover (unless you live in Boston or NYC), Sapporo Japanese Grill (the best sushi ever), Pat's Steakhouse, Toast on Main (breakfast), North End Cafe (breakfast/dinner) and Graeter's Ice Cream (headquartered in Cincinnati).

Having been to Louisville on multiple occasions myself, I'll offer some suggestions. The first places that spring to mind as far as dining in Louisville goes are DeVino's, Tumbleweed, Vietnam Kitchen, and the Avalon. Check them all out if you can!

Try Le Relais for French cuisine in a casual location overlooking the runways. Limestone is the place for the special dinner, let chef Michael Cunha guide your choice.
