bowling shoes, saddle shoes, poddle skirts, a short scarf around the neck or rolled as a headband, rolling up your pants so they are closer to your knees, and blouses with collars and buttons. If you want some good ideas do an image search for rockabillly fashion.

The 1950s pony tail, saddle shoes, and poodle skirt is famous. But this was also the time of Audrey Hepburns' Breakfast At Tiffany's look with a black cocktail dress, pearls, beehive and tiara. There were also Beatniks, in all black, sunglasses and a beret!

Wide, flared skirts that are below-the-knee. Tightly cinched belts. Pointy bras. Tight cardigan sweaters worn with the buttons in the back. Flat "ballerina" shoes or saddle shoes, the brown and white ones.

For short hair, set your hair with pin curls and shape to look like a bubble cut or a poodle cut (a la Lucy Ricardo). For long hair, put your hair in a high pony tail or pull back the sides and curl the rest. Up-do's work great, too.

For women a full skirt with narrow waist is good, along with shirt top, sunglasses and a headscarf. Polka dots are cool. For men teddy boy or drainpipe jeans.

A 'poodle' skirt and bobby socks with a blouse, ponytail or pigtails in the hair. Or, for a kind of bad girl look, tight black pants and a pink angora sweater.

Casual would be regular levies and a man's white dress shirt and penny loafers or saddle shoes. You could tie the shirt in the middle even though it wasn't done then. A full skirt with a starched underskirt, a feminine white top and ballet slippers would be good for dress.

One of the big things everyone wore in the 50s were poodle skirts, with white button up cardigans or white blouses. Bouffants (also known as beehives), where how a lot of women wore their hair. Cats eye glasses were really in. Men wore tight pants and leather jackets and their hair was full of grease.
