Making mosaics with old dishes is great fun. Although you can cover table tops and boxes I love jewelry made with porcelain shards. Set the shards in silver or pewter and add pin backs.

Use them for a mosaic. Blow off some steam and break those dishes. Choose your base,table-top, tray, or do a floor or a wall. Lay out a picture, glue tiles in place, grout over them to fill cracks. Clean grout off (tiles) and let dry. Ready to use.
