Should our home plans be a ranch style?

At any point in your life, a ranch style is a great plan. If you plan on living in the home well into your retirement years, getting up and down stairs may be difficult. If you are younger and have small children, a ranch home is ideal because you won't have to worry about putting gates by stairs.

One-floor living has its advantages, especially if you plan to be in the home through retirement. A one level home can easily have a larger footprint, which requires a larger lot. The final decision depends on your lifestyle and plans.
