This plant is a pain as an indoor plant. It requires massive watering, but shouldn't be over watered or sitting wet. So,misting between waterings is a good with this plant.
Majesty palms do well in a arid climate, so it is likely that misting will not help. The problem is likely in the soil. If the roots have been waterlogged, they may have rotted and are not allowing water assimilation. Trim the roots and replant in damp soil.
