Keep on trying to put the kitten with its mom and siblings to see if she will accept it. Make sure to watch carefully though so she doesn't hurt it. Mother cats will usually reject kittens either when they know there is something wrong with it or they feel they have too big of a litter.

You will need to hand feed the kitten. Most pet stores sell special bottles and kitten formula that is meant to replicate the milk of the mother. You will also need to keep the kitten warm while it is young.

The cat will need to be bottle fed for about 4 weeks before you can begin to feed them wet food or dry food mixed with water. After the first few months the cat will be fine to care for itself.
