I have Aetna insurance.

First, ask Aetna why your claims were denied. If there was an error, or lack of information, your health care provider may need to correct & resubmit the claims. If not, ask what your appeal rights are, or if it is a case where your care provider needs to appeal.

If you feel they have denied your claim unfairly and you can't get them to take a second look, you may have to hire an attorney to refile for you.

The first thing that you should do is contact the claims department of your insurer directly to discuss the reasons for the denial. Thereafter, if you continue to be dissatisfied with the reasons, then follow their formal appeal process for potential positive resolution.

You should appeal. There are deadlines to do this, and they are in your policy. You should also talk to a lawyer as soon as possible.

You can appeal the rejected claim to their health insurance board or to Aetna's ombudsman (customer advocate). Baring that, get a lawyer.

Time to get yourself a new insurance policy. I would switch companies right away to someone who will accept your claims and that will work best for you.
