Is there a proper way to dispose of a bible?

A bible is a book like any other and can be disposed of as you see fit. If you really feel that you just can't bring yourself to throw it away, you can donate it to a thrift shop or leave it with your pastor or minister and I'm sure they can take care of it.

I think that there is no proper way to dispose of the bible. If you are a Christian the holy book should be in your possession and as a believer you should keep it. But i think a gift will do the trick. In fact there is a saying that says "give to the others what they don't have."

Yes there certainly is. According to our elders, the only way to dispose a Bible is by burning it. It should never be disposed any other way.

I personally don't dispose of my Bibles I donate them to charity organizations that reuse them. There are missions groups that recycle and repair Bibles for use in missions.

Certainly the best must be giving the book to a priest or to a local library, or to someone who might want it (sunday schools), but never give it to the trash bin.

Wow if it that is true then bless me. When I was a kid I read through it and revelations and it sounded so crazy I didnt wanna keep it. So I burned it. Didnt know of any other way to dispose of it .
