it's definitely gonna reduce your water bill a lot! So a little extra money is an initial investment and you'll more than recover it through lower water bills. You also don't need wiring and the installation is simple - even when your water pressure is on the lower level.
A Netafim Aqua Pro Battery Timer is one of the few I know which works even on low pressure and low flow - so it's priceless for low pressure systems. If you have one, the extra cash spent is worth it! The waterproof cover is a boon too.

Great when you have power cuts and erratic electricity too! The battery is pretty good. where do you plan to install it. If it's a remote place or garden the battery backup feature is really useful add a comment
I used the Netafim Aqua Pro Battery Timer and found it not to really be worth the money. It works by estimating the amount of charge lest in the battery. This is fine if you plan to push the batter to the absolute limit but any responsible boater will tell you that is dangerous.
Yes it is worth the money if you are living in a place where there is no electricity and another plus point is that it can be used for indoor and outdoor installation , yes it is worth the money.
The Netafim Aqua Pro Battery Timer is definitely worth the money when you think about all of the money wasted when you forget to shut the water off... and the convenience!
