Yes it certainly is, anywhere from a few US dollars to several thousand US dollars depending on the grade, quality, year, and interest. I would have it appraised to find out what your particular coin is worth. The current melt value is about $6. 50 USD as of January 7, 2010, the value of your coin when melted into pure metals.

That depends largely on the date, year minted, whether or not the coin has any flaws or mis-strikes, and various other things. Take it to a reputable coin dealer.

depending on the year and condition it can be worth anywhere from 1 dollar to 11000 dollars. Most coin shops will apraise it for you for no cost or you can go to your local library and get a black book for u. s. coins.

It's at least worth the boulion value in silver (at the going rate for the day you sell it). But based on its condition and date, it could be worth a lot more. Best way to find out is take it to a local coin shop for appraisal.
