Is a denim couch a good choice for a family room?

I have a denim couch in my family room, and I love it! It's incredibly comfortable and wonderfully durable. We've had the couch for years, but it has held up very nicely. The main problem for us is with fading - the couch sits directly in front of some windows, and the sun has faded the denim slightly.

It is durable and will spot clean easily and the color will not show dirt. If you have animals they will not rip it with their claws or paws. The fabric also stretches so kids can bounce without ripping the material.

Denim would be a good choice in terms of wear and tear. The cleaning might be a little bit more difficult unless you are planning on having the demin as a slip cover rather than the actual fabric for the furniture. A demin slip cover would require a large washer and dryer though.

It all depends on how much use and if kids will be using it also. Denin holds up very well to wear, but can stain. Think of regular jeans pants.
