As times have changed, partially due to the whole financial crisis fiasco, a 680 score has become somewhat more neutral than it used to be. Not that it is a bad score by any measure, it's just not a high enough score for creditors who have become risk averse in the recent past. I would suggest working to improve it.

A FICO credit score of between 650 and 690 is generally considered to be average by credit lending institutions. The good range begins at 690 and the bad range begins below 650.

I score of 680 is good, but not great. An ideal score would be over 700. With a 680, you should be able to get most loans, but you usually will not get the best interest rates possible.

A credit score of 680 is not too bad. For a bank to loan you money in today's economy the higher your score the better. This is not saying that with a score of 680 you are not able to get loans. I know a person needing a 620 score to obtain a home loan.

This credit score can be considered good. It isn't great, but you should still be able to qualify for most home and auto loans, albeit at a slightly higher rate.

A credit score of 680 is pretty good. Theoretically, the scale is up to 800 - But this is not possible to achieve, practically speaking. 680 is high enough to get the best rate on a car loan or a mortgage.

Any score that is above 700 reflects good credit. A perfect credit score is 800. A low credit score is 500. 680 is a pretty good credit score.
