Dogs may throw up for a variety of reasons, just like humans. Mostly it is a minor problem, like an upset stomach from food eaten or a stomach virus. If it is pancreatitis, not only will your dog be vomiting, but the stomach will be sore and may appear swollen. Diarrhea may accompany the vomiting.

There are a lot more causes for a dog throwing up than just pancreatits which is relatively rare. In pancreatitis the dog will also have severe tummy pain and shock

While vomiting may be a sign of pancreatitis it can also be a sign of many other things. If the dog has only vomited once, appears fine in every other way and has not gotten into anything he shouldn't have then just keep an eye on him, otherwise a vet visit would be a good idea.

Yes. When a dog has pancreatitis, they will throw up yellow bile. Having the dog tested by a vet is the first step. They will often recommend a change in diet or recommend a prescription dog food. Depending on the severity of pancreatitis, the change in food can help to heal.

Pancreatitis can cause nausea and vomiting as a symptom. However, a much more common cause of vomiting in dogs is viral gastrointestinal illness. Dogs also vomit when they have ingested something they should not have eaten. If your dog has pancreatitis and not another more common cause, you would expect to notice the dog in pain and behavior changes.

There are lots of reasons your dog could be throwing up. It cold simply be something he/she ate. It cold be that your dog got sick. It could be pancreatitis, but hat is a long shot. If you are worried take him/her to the vet.

Yes, it could be, among other things. If it has vomitted more than once, and not stopped you need to call your veterinarian, give details & see what they say.

Yes, pancreatitis is a possibility. Diarrhea, uninterest in food, and a painful abdomen are also symptoms of pancreatitis. Please see your veterinarian if the symptoms persist.
