pregnancy

Question by  VEnessa (3)

I checked my cervical fluid prior to ovulation and discovered a slimy plug of mucous. Am I pregnant and will I lose the baby?

I don't know what to do.

The only way to find out if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. The mucous is likely unrelated to pregnancy and does not mean that you are or are not pregnant. If you are pregnant, the presence of cervical mucous does not mean that you will lose the baby.

It is unlikely that you can cause yourself a miscarriage simply by checking your cervical mucous. You should take a pregnancy test to determine if you are pregnant.

First, relax. The presence of mucus does not mean you are pregnant nor does it mean you will lose your baby even if you are. Second, take a pregnancy test to find out if you are pregnant and then if you are please see a Pediatrician.
