Take your rabbit to the vet. If the rabbit is diagnosed with a cold, the vet will prescribe antibiotics. Monitor your rabbit during illness for any changes in behavior or eating habits. Keep your rabbit indoors while he or she is ill and away from other animals.

You should know that rabbits do not get colds like humans do. The cold like symptoms that your pet rabbit is experiencing are being caused by some other medical condition. The best thing that you could do for your rabbit's health is to take it to the veterinarian to determine the true cause of the symptoms.

What seems like a cold in rabbits is usually an upper respiratory infection. URIs can be fatal if not treated, and critters can often go downhill quickly. Fortunately URIs can often be cured with a simple course of antibiotics and some tlc. A visit to your vet is warranted here.
