Signatures for greeting cards should only be formal in business situations. Card for friends and family should be warm and friendly. In a formal greeting always extend your warmest regards for the appropriate situation.

Since the return address is typed on the front of the envelope, with your typed name on it, the recipient should know who the card is from, so you should feel free to do a formal cursive signature.

It depends on the card. If it's for an occasion such as a birthday or an RSVP to a party, no. But a Christmas card to sympathy card should be.
