The red worms in your gravel will not cause any harm to your fish. If you have red worms squirming in there it is probably left over larva from fish having babies. It does not present a threat to your fish and the adult fishies can even eat it later on.

Several water changes along with washing the gravel will be the best way to remove the red worms. During the process of cycling water changes and gravel washing, you should also vacuum the gravel after it is placed back into the tank.

Change the water in the tank several times, and also vacuum the gravel. If you are deligent in keeping the gravel clean, you should rid yourself of the worms.

I would suggest transferring the fish out of the aquarium. Then I would proceed to empty the water and finally the gravel. Then throw away the gravel worms and all. Then get in your car and drive to the pet store and purchase more gravel. Don't forget about your fish.

These nuisances are nematodes and are harmless but look nasty in the tank. They usually get in the aquarium with feeder fish and oscars. Antiparasitic treatment, such as Parasitin, is recommended and will no doubt take care of the problem. You will have to do a major aquarium cleaning to clean out the dead worms.

pour a few drops of potassium permaganet mixed with some water in a bowel, into this aquarium this depends upon the size of your volume of water placed init. if the size is very small then only few crystals will do, if its big then few drops will be enough to make it work

Well to get rid of the worms you have to add some algae bacteria solution inside the tank. Also add some chlorine if you can. It will purify all of the water.
