How often are struvite crystals in dogs sterile?

Sometimes these can cause UTIs in dogs, but other times these can be completley normal. The only sure fire way to figure out is to take you dog to the vet and have him examined. This way you can ensure his health. It is the best option to take. Thanks!

Struvite crystals are found in urine. They are usually not caused by infection and are sterile; however veterinarians don't fully understand their causes. They are found more often in cats than dogs. If your animal is having trouble urinating or not urinating they need urgent care and could have crystals.
